t’s been a few weeks since our last sailing trip. Today’s trip was a up-town Beaufort trip. We sailed from 1:30 pm to 4:30. We had very week sailing conditions. The wind was out of the north east at 3 to 5. We were pushing against the tide from Port Royal to the woods memorial bridge. Coming back, we rode the tide out and made great time getting back to the dock. We hoisted the main sail nearly as soon left the face dock. I silenced the iron jib “the engine” and we began making free propulsion. However, we made a ½ mile the gave it right back we tried for an hour with no luck to gain headway, After a valiant effort we decided to crank the iron jib and motor sail into Beaufort. We made the turn just before woods memorial bridge and headed back. We saw no dolphins on this trip. We did have a good time Thanks to Captain Jim and Marcia fro introducing their friends to us, “Hal and Kris” we enjoyed sailing with you’ all today and your welcome to sail with ant time I’m just sorry the wind did not give us more to work with. Enjoy your stay here in Beaufort and we hope to see ya soon. Here is a little video of Cap, Jim putting the East Coast Lady back in to her birth.
Stir it up.

Capt, Curtis
